Title
[D8049ZDY], Letter from Edward Hibberd Johnson to Thomas Alva Edison, April 24th, 1880
Editor's Notes
25 miles compound wire is useless. Badly made; copper deposition & gauge vary so can't use connections sent. Also impossible to pull wires uniformly between housetops. Ordered it replaced by iron wire. Wanted compound to run many wires thru small spaces. This experiment watched by Bell Co & PO; its faliure "mortifies me."
