Title
[D8123ZAK], Letter from John Casper Branner to Thomas Alva Edison, March 23rd, 1881
Editor's Notes
[dateline Para, Brazil] Can't send you satisfactory report, or additions to fiber specimens already sent. Have suffered attack of intermittent fever; also find only duplications of speciments sent. Will head for different flora. Sending some bamboo points. Can you tell me how to cut them more smoothly? Have tried every kind of saw but get ragged ends every time. Labor here very dear; much demand for rubber extraction.
