"We are continually getting inquiries for Sawn's incandescent lamps which is indentically the same as your patented by you in this country two months before Swan. Can you supply your lamps, or at least send a few for exhibition? Thought of asking Gouraud but was addvised to write you. "How is it that not a word was said on your behalf at the meeting of the Society of Telegraph Engineers when Swan read his paper?"
