Title
[D8220C], Letter from Francis Robbins Upton to Thomas Alva Edison, January 4th, 1882
Editor's Notes
wants a 150 A machine built like old model, but putting two magnets side by side and keeping armature dia. same. Gives sketch of this. Eliminate unsupported long shaft by using two brgs on pulley end. Thinks that will be more efficient and of lower internal resistance than two A machines. "You may remember that this plan of a machine has been a hobby with me for a year and a half.."
