Title
[D8220P], Letter from Henry Draper to Thomas Alva Edison, May 22nd, 1882
Editor's Notes
Made some more trials with his dynamo and finds that at 2200 rpm it gives 9 candles per lamp. Also has developed a device for preventing cutting of the commutator and for reducing sparking. Denver and Rio Grande RR may be interested in his locomotive, as they have access to water power at points on their line. Just received letter from Barker who says that the Faure battery smooths out the pulsations of his gas engine.
