Title

[D8244R], Letter from John F Ott to Thomas Alva Edison, September 30th, 1882

Editor's Notes

"Drilled small pieces bass fiber also split some two thirds down with saw; put the bamboo fibers in with sugar, coal tar, and japan, then carbonized them. In every instance I found the substances used contracted twice that of fiber leaving the high points in contact only."
