Telegram to Foote at Bank of Jacksonville, Florida: If European Edison bondholders will take for each thousand [hard to read interlined text] three hundred dollars cash and new five per cent bod for three hundred eighty dollars secured by about five thousand new founders shares European stockholders will raise money necessary to carry this out at once on remaining two or three thousand founders shares. Upton strongly approves. Urge you telegraph your consent stating par amount of bonds of yourself and friends. Answer Forty Wall Street.
