Title

[D8532G], Letter from Henry M Livor to Samuel Insull, September 15th, 1885

Editor's Notes

In reference to the exchange check which you wish us to give you, I would say: we will give you a check, but it will not be good, as there will be no money to meet it and anyway, we will be in this hole to meet the note for $736.08 due on Friday. [------] is the first one given to the Cambria Iron Co. for shortshafting[?]. We had calculated to put note in the bank for discount, but as Batchelor will not be here until Thursday or Friday, we cannot do that and consequently there will be no feasible way for us to [----] it, as that was the way we intended[?] to take it up. ##If the check will answer your purposes, [-----] as we have before said, give it to you.
