[Letterhead: The Edison Machine Works, Shafting Department] Received sample of type writer work from Mr. Hamilton, which is not as perfect as it should be; shows "pretty conclusively that you are on the right track. I hope it can be perfected so that I could exhibit it at the Am. Institute fair this year which opens on the 28th September.'###Don't make any arrangements re: the handling of this until you hear my proposition.
