Title
[D8713ABR], Letter from Emma S S (Mrs Daniel) Leech to Thomas Alva Edison, December 18th, 1887
Editor's Notes
Reminding you that I wrote several months ago re: possible employment for my son James Y. Leech [unindexed], to which you gave "tacit encouragement"; he is now 20, has "quick comprehension and intelligence"; has traveled considerably for Prof. Baird re: the Fisk Communicator; spent time in England; is well-acquainted with railroad and ocean travel; can manage a telephone board; as a boy constructed telegraphs and telephones; his father, though, has not been able to place him in a position where he can develop his genius; could my son come to see you?
