Title
[D8718AAC], Letter from Hamilton (Edward P.) & Co to Thomas Alva Edison, July 23rd, 1887
Editor's Notes
Edward P. Hamilton & Co. writing to TAE regarding the property that they had written about on the 14th. EPHCo. Informs TAE that there has been considerable delay in procuring information from Mr. E. M. Condit regarding the property. EPHCo. notes that they now have a correct survey of the 14 acres and requests that TAE stop by their Orange office on his way to the train to examine it. The price for the tract is $35,000, which EPHCo. considers reasonable given improvements and the recent prices paid for other lots in the area. EPHCo. asserts that a large profit could be had given that most of the land has frontage and is capable fo further subdivision. Refernce to "Orange Office" seems to be to EPHCo.'s office, not to the West Orange Lab.
