Title
[D8748AAA], Letter from Sherburne Blake Eaton to Thomas Alva Edison, February 18th, 1887
Editor's Notes
"Referring to my claim against this Company, and to your letter to me dated October 29, 1885, wherein you stated that my claim would be settled as soon as the Company had any money, I beg to inquire whether the money which the Company is likely to soon receive from the Ocean Company cannot be turned over to me in part payment of my account. Will you kindly let me hear from you on that point, and will you also please favor me, if not putting you to too much trouble, with your views as to when my claim will be likely to be paid. ## It may be proper for me to say that I began to advance money on Aug. 24, 1881, and that the status of limitations will soon begin to fun on my claim. If my claim is not settled before long, I suppose I must ask you to put it into such shape that it will not expire by statute."
