Editor's Notes

"We have noticed various press efforts intimating that you have been actively engaged in improving your invention of the Phonograph. ## You will remember that under the terms of the license date 22nd march 1878, between yourself and this Company, you constituted this Company your sole licensees in respect of your Phonographs according to your Patent of 30th July 1877, or any improvements thereof, or addition thereto, whether patented or not. ## We beg to call your attention to the terms of that license, and to ask you to favor us with full particulars of the improvements that have since that date been made in respect of the invention and we hope that we may be able to introduce into this country, and work all such improvements to an mutual satisfaction ## Awaiting the favor of an Early reply.
