Title
[D8805AGH1], Letter from John Benjamin Verity to Thomas Alva Edison, September 5th, 1888
Editor's Notes
"I have given an introduction to a great friend of ours Doctor Sansom, who was my uncles physician, and whom I go to myself.### He is considered to be a very clever man in this country, and I believe is thought a great deal of in the States, on account of his advocacy of anesthetics, in fact, I think one of the [states?] in Philadelphia is named after him, I though you would not mind me giving him an introduction to you, as, if I cant have the pleasure of seeing you myself, the next best thing is to hear all about your from ethers. ### I hope it wont be long before we do something really and truly Edison in this country in the way of electrical station lighting, and trusting you are in the very best of health," PS: " Gouraud is making a nice old advertisement for *himself* out of your phonograph."
