Title
[D8828ABL], Letter from Shipton Green to Edison Electric Light Co, April 21st, 1888
Editor's Notes
"I am in receipt of your letter dated 29th March last, in which you decline to take charge of the wood bought by Mssr Singlehurst, Brocklehurst & Co for you’re a/c in accordance with a verbal understanding with your Mr. Hanington. ### I have since received the enclosed leter from Mssr Singlehurst, Brocklehurst & Co by which you will see there was apparently no misunderstanding on their part. Now as the wood is not of the slightest value except for the purposes to which you would apply it, I think taking all the circumstances into consideration it would only be fair and just for you to take charge of it, and honor their draft on you for invoice amount say $1098.00 which I now enclose, and also the shipping documents."
