"The Westinghouse Electric Company respectuflly calls your attention to the Confidential Circular to the Agents of the Edison Electric Light Company, printed over the signature of E.H. Johnson, President, a reprint of which is given herein; and also to the correspondence which passed between the Officers of the Westinghouse Electric Company and Mr. W.W. Gibbs, Vice President United Gas Improvement Company, of Philadelphia, Mr. Eugene Vanderpoel, President of the Newark Gas Light Company, Newark, N.J. and Chairman of the Executive Committee of the Society of Gas Lighting, (for whom a test was made,) and Prof. Henry Morton, President of Stevens Institute of Technology, Hoboken, N.J. bearing on the subject matter of the confidential circular of the Edison Company. ### We submit this without further comment."
