Title
[D8845AGT], Letter from William G Rowe to Thomas Alva Edison, December 14th, 1888
Editor's Notes
"Sample of Magnetic Ore contained in this box is good enough but contains too much Titanium as it is for Furnace use. My Iron Age of Dec. 6th I noticed your cut of magnetic ore seperator and in reading it over you make mention of experimenting with [unclear] ore, so I concluded to write to you at once about it to ascertain the cost of your separator complete and for information concerning the cost per ton for crushing and seperatingready for market. I read a reply to my letter from your Private Secy Mr. A.G. Tate saying I should send on sample of about 20 lbs of my ore and he would run it through the machine and return to me samples of the result. Now if your separator will remove titanium sufficinetly to make the ore salable to furnace men I should be pleased to know of you whether your separator ore [unclear] on a Royalty of so much per ton on every ton of ore run through your separator or have you a fixed price for the whole business come [unclear] hoping to learn all particulars from you at your earliest convenience."
