"I am obliged for your note stating that Mr. Maguire is now in the West and that you helped from state the matter in hand, as you had calle from China for some of the Phonographs. ### My Shanghai Yoko [unclear] had both sometime since asked me to send on + say, twenty each, and as don't they will be granted. ### Kindly return me the [unclear] copies of letters [unclear] with you to [unclear] Mr. Edison on election day of my leters to the state department + [unclear] reply direct to [rest is unclear]."
