Title

[D8905AIR], Letter from Seth Low to Thomas Alva Edison, November 27th, 1889

Editor's Notes

Brooklyn Nov. 27 1889 Dear Mr. Edison I have to thank you for your favor of Nov 25th. I appreciate, of course, the force of what you say in reply to my suggestion. It occurred ot me that it might be a pleasant thing for you to have your exhibit kept intact, in an institution where it would at once exhibit the extreme attainments of science at a gien date and be the source of instruction to your succesors for many years to come. The nearness of the proposed World's Fair in this country throws a light upon the subject which had not occurred to me, and is, of course, decisive against the realization of my hopes at this time. Perhaps you will let the idea germiante and carry it into effect after that exposition is over. Meanwhile, if you see any way in which you can show an interest in Columbia's school of electricity, you may be sure that it would be greatly appreciated both by the Trustees and by myself. Yours sincerely, Seth Low
