Title
[D8905AJN], Letter from Alois C Ziegenfuss to Thomas Alva Edison, December 10th, 1889
Editor's Notes
New York City December 10th 89 Prof Edison Dear Sir:-- In one of Geo. M. Hopkin's articles to the Scientific American he mentions the fact that you invented a little instrument by which sound waves are made to turn a tiny wheel, the Motorphone. I enquired at one of the leading instrument stores here but they didn't have it. Now if you have any knowledge where in the city it's kept, will you please inform me by a postal card about it, or if it's only a scientific toy yet only you have a specimen, will you please let me look at it when I come over to your plae? Being much obliged you confer the favor, as it's VERY important to me, I remain Most respectfully Alois Ziegenfuss]
