Editor's Notes

Patents New York Dec 12th 1889 1065 Madison Ave Mr. Samuel Insull####Dear Sir:--I wish to dispose of my interest in the multi polar Marine dynamo, which I assigned to Mr. Edison for a royalty of 19, one per cent. on the selling price-- This machine when run at the same temperature and surface speed as the Standard Edison dynamo, will weight only one half as much. From some rough figures I have made on a machine for central station work. [Moving?] the output of an Edison "Co" 150000 watts. I get the following result at 180 Revs--40 [degrees] C rise of temp. the machine weigh 20 000 lbs. and will stand having half load thrown off and on ---- out moving the broken or sparking--I will sell my interest in this dynamo for $12000--Twelve thousand dollars--and would also like to dispose of my interest in the unipolar dynamo which I also assigned to Mr. Edison for one per cent. There has never been ----- one of these, and so I am unable to say exactly what it can do. Yours very truly Justus B Entz
