Mr. Courtenay was employed by us at the direction of some of our Lima friends to investigate certain mining property in Brazil and Peru l was in our employ in such capacity for about 6 months. He has given us entire satisfaction in all his business in connection with his investigation and we feel gratified now in commending him as an engineer to your friends.

I have known Mr. De Kalb for some five years and have been cognizant of much of the work done by him previous to that and his acquaintance with the subjects pertaining to those branches.
