Title

[FM001AAG], Letter from Jane Eliza Miller to Mina Miller (Mrs Thomas A.) Edison, February 26th, 1886

Editor's Notes

14-7638. Got your telegram at 8 last night; got your letter this a.m.; try to rest while traveling; glad it was a bright day in Cinncinati yesterday; will try to get mother and father off in a week or so, so that they will arrive after you have been comfortably settled in your new home. TAE has confidence in you and you must have confidence in yourself; glad we had four weeks together in the east this winter; flower canopy still stands in the library and altar in parlor; in a day or so we will put flowers upstairs to dry; "everybody thought it a beautiful wedding--they thought you did so nicely--and all were pleased with Mr. Edison Our dear brother. When I think how kind and loving He is You could never have gotten a better husband. You know Mina I like him and am proud to have him as a brother;" announcement cards came this a.m.; sent you a letter yesterday, addressed to St. Augustine [FLORIDA]; Don’t think it was proper for TAE's friends to accompany you to station and travel with you on train; glad we didn't listen to Mr. Toppan on this; didn't like the way you looked in the newspaper; sending a number of "Beacons" because we liked the article in there best.
