Your three letters of 29th to hand.##I have never received the meters (one 25 & one 50 light) ordered sometime back & my telegram was meant as a reminder.##I enclose order for one standard Hydrometer to go to London & one to Paris. I think this is sufficient.##Your letter as to Power. Of course the Dynamos & motors are to be in series & I see no reason why you should not run up as high as 2000 volts I never had any other idea then the series plan.##I think you are wrong in saying that with 750 lights [up] [-] [Ks] are required. All that is necessary is that there should be provided a spare armature & appliances for handling it quickly. we must [lay] down the Investment as much as possible & in a case like you suppose what I suggest is quite [as] sufficient It is to be presumed that with a place having 750 lamps would be most amply provided with light. Supposing one machine gives way [bring] the light down lower & so [---] the load on the other two or else turn off some of the lights altogether whilst the new armature is being fixed which should not take over 20 minutes. And I think for that period the light given by the other two machines would be sufficient to tide over the trouble. Of course lowering all the light on cutting off some altogether would cause some little inconvenience but I think you will find people will suffer this in order to save on [---]##You must remember that if we overload our estimates in this manner it will prevent our getting orders in many instances
