Title
[LB014032], Letter from Samuel Insull to Charles Batchelor, August 24th, 1882
Editor's Notes
Referring to your complaint as to Bergmann & Co having sent you fixtures samples specimens of which you had already received I beg to enclose you herewith B & Cos reply to my inquiry as to the complaint. It falls to my lot to decide as to the filling of these discretionary orders & I can seldom expect to do it with satisfaction. In the case in point the first order was for three of each kind but as the cost seems high to me for mere samples I cabled to the Societe Electrique & got it changed to one of each kind. It has, of necessity took some time to fill the order & probably your people have not got the later styles yet. If however they are put to any loss B & Co will allow a reasonable discount if you so desire it & will let us know
