I have not replied directly to your letter of June 27th, in regard to the Electric Pen patent, but notwithstanding this, I have been looking into the matter with Mr. Tomlinson, and he tells me that he has written you to the effect that the patent is open, and I am now expecting a letter from you stating in what way and to what extent you desire to acquire rights under this patent.
