Title
[LB027325A], Letter from Alfred Ord Tate to Samuel Insull, December 7th, 1888
Editor's Notes
"I have a big bill against the Edison Phonograph Company for experiments up to the 28th day of June last. Mr. Edison's contract with this Company provides that he shall be reimbursed for the cost of his experiments, in consideration of his assigning to them his patents on the phonograph. He has made some assignments (I am not sure that these assignments are complete, but it is intended that they shall be made so), and I think that we should have a meeting of the Directors of the Edison Phonograph Co. and pass the bill, which amounts to $25,046.54. Do you see any objection to doing this?" Yours very truly, AO Tate
