Title
[LB028925], Letter from Thomas Alva Edison to Robert Livingston Cutting, Jr., April 2nd, 1889
Editor's Notes
"During the past fortnight I have been able to take my clothes off but once or twice working night and day and have only just had an opportunity to read your letter regarding Mr. Sterling's boiler. ### Of course I will be glad to give you any assistance I can but I do not consider myself a competent judge of boilers so far as their construction is concerned. Any opinions I have ever expressed in this connection have been based entirely on results of practical operation. ### If you want a first class opinion on construction let me have Mr. J. H. Vail, Gen'l Supt. of the Edison Elec. Lt Co. examine Mr. Sterling's invention and make you a report. He is an expert on such matters and I have confidence in him. What do you say?" Yours very truly, [signed] TAE
