Title

[LB032122], Letter from Charles Batchelor to John Honiss, August 20th, 1889

Editor's Notes

"Your letter of 17th instant received. I have sent the map of your property to the Factory at Silverlake, where you can get it. If I had known where you lived I would have sent it to your house. I am sorry to say that I cannot take the property you offer. The price is very much higher than property that I have bought near there that I want to use for the same purpose. I do not like the fact that the majority of the best lots have been sold, and that all that you offer, even at that high price, are back lots which would have to be opened by streets. I expect to realize something on the property if I lay out my money for it, and I could not expect to get much from that at the price that I intend good workmen shall buy lots in that vicinity." Yours truly, Chas. Batchelor
