Title

[LB034149], Letter from Thomas Alva Edison to R M Field, November 22nd, 1889

Editor's Notes

Now that the affairs of the Edison Toy Manufacturing Company have passed from a state of chaos into a condition of genuine business, I feel that it is due to yourself, Mr. Stevens, and those who have co-operated with you, to express to you my appreciation of the active part which you have taken in connection with this reorganization. From the commencement of my very pleasant acquaintance with yourself and Mr. Stevens, I have felt assured that we would reach a thoroughly satisfactory solution of the somewhat difficult problems which were presented, and it is a gratification to me to know that my confidence was so well placed I have now full faith in the success of the business of your Company, and will gladly do all I can to contribute towards that end. I desire yourself and Mr. Stevens to receive my personal thanks for the able assistance which you have rendered in protecting the rights of your stock holders, which involved to no small extent my own reputation, and with kindest wishes for your welfare, beg to remain. Yours very truly, [signed] TAE
