My dear Miss Field,-
Your letter of 25th instant is received. I have hunted high and low for a doll suitable for your purpose and cannot find a single mechanism that would answer. The Phonograph Works have used the original tools for other purposes, and I cannot therefore duplicate the doll. I will try, however, and get one in New York, as there are several in existence.
Yours very truly.
