Sept. 18, 1894.
Messrs. Drexel, Morgan & Co.,
Wall & Broad sts., N. Y.,
Dear sirs:-
I have your favors of the 14th and 17th, acknowledging check for $6600. enclosed with mine of the 12th. I note that there seems to be a misunderstanding as between Col. Gouraud and myself, and for your information, I attach herewith copy of a letter received from Col. Gouraud, quoting various cables that have passed between us, in which you will see that there is nothing said about interest, which appears to be the [illegible overstruck word] only difference between us. However, I presume that you will hear shortly from Col. Gouraud regarding this matter. In the meantime, I would request that you do not repay him any of the money until you have received a joint letter from us, as outlined in mine of the 12th.
Yours very truly,
Thomas A Edison
