W. S. Hanscock [Hancock] Esq Comp,
Trenton. N. J.
Dear Sir:-
Your favor of the 3rd received. The Edison Phonograph Company has not been an operating Company for a number of years, but recently, on account of the failure of the North American Phonograph Cy, it is expected that when the Receiver settles up that it will again become an operative Company and will then be able to pay the State its taxes.
So, if you can allow the matter to rest during the year it will undoubtedly be for the benefit of both the State and Company.
Yours truly
Thos A. Edison
