Title
[LM001143A], Telegram from Joshua Franklin Bailey, Charles Batchelor to Thomas Alva Edison, January 16th, 1882
Editor's Notes
Clause three Article three contract provides usual allowance to directors after deduction five percentum legal reserve we should probably have arranged at eight if you had not given fifteen in powers sent by Porger we have made fifth and got them down to eleven they certainly will not agree to less without lawsuit and it is doubtful whether we should get it below ten before tribunal this will involve indefinite delay and meanwhile we are loosing factory and everything while our competitors are going ahead on these facts though we thing eleven too liberal we recommend without reserve accepting it and beg you cable decision without delay as the situation is very critical
