Mayor City of Orange [Orange,] 7th Nov: 89 Dear Sir I am desirous of erecting a line o telegraph poles 150 feet apart from the corner of the Phonograph Factory peroperty along the [eastern?] side with Washington St. These poles will carry four wires for an experiment on the track of the Orange Cross Town R.R. Co and at the conclusion of the experiment the poles will be removed and the ground levelled to its previous condition. Under these circumstances I beg to apply for your approval of the erection of the line, and I remain Dear Sir Yours Faithully Thomas A Edison
