thanks for Bliss's of 26 Nov. did not have to draw as raised enough for a few more weeks; appreciates necessity of getting out rotary press, ink attachment, and undred copy ink, have talked to TAE about it and he will start immediately after he gets rid of model telephone which Batch thinks will be shortly; Bliss probably remembers from when he was there TAE's idea of recording human voice has done so and shown to Sci Am who are sketching for feature article; as proof principle is correct it worked the first time we tried it; delighted to hear good news from Europe Bliss judgement about Beetle sound; discusses Wheeler account; "Edison tells me that Herz did not pay those European patents probably thought them worthless. Well we will see!!! By the way (between us) I think Herz is not very well liked over ther. The `Phonograph' is goind go to be a magnificent success!!!"
