Title
[MBLB4304], Letter from Charles Batchelor to Samuel Insull, June 19th, 1882
Editor's Notes
Yours of 4 June rcd. Glad there's likelihood of forming the Lamp Co., also the Machine Works. Will send you big order for lamps; don't trust leaving it in hands of "these Frenchmen." Regarding stock: sell 30 shares; I want to net $850 on each. "You know my being here costs an enormous amount and I have to spend three times what I get here from these people. So I should like to get a little money which I can put at interest in order not to be always eating my hand off. If it were not for that [lucky? -----] in the shape of Telephone in England I should be completely busted."
