Title

[N214271], Technical Note, Charles Lorenzo Clarke, May 3rd, 1881

Editor's Notes

"Armington and Sims Fly Wheel Comparison of the energy with the energy of dynamo." That is, he's comparing the moments of inertia of the steam engine flywheel and the bar armature, with a view toward using the armature as a flywheel when dynamo is directly connected to steam engine. Calculates moments of inertia of armature bars, iron disk core, and copper disks and sums them to get total MOI.
