Editor's Notes
Faradic Machine No. 3 described "If this machine had succeeded it would ahve been the grandest success known, as it is, it is only the same as the oteher machine. It would be useful for supplying a number of small arcs in multiple arc or for plating or for running magnets though nothing to boast of"; fr. 842 "I still believe that an 1/8 of an ohm machine can be made to give at least 75 volts. In order to to do this a solid iron core must be used and the wire be flat and all be made perfectly"; continues tests of all 3 machines, instructions for making No. 4; fr. 856 re pure copper wire to be tested
