Physiological effect of shock--##Two dogs for experiment.##1st small black mongrel.##Parcelled one fore leg and the opposite hind leg with wet cotton waste wrapped with wire. Res: Between these wires about 7500w by bridge.##800volts from Municipal machine applied direct for about 2 sec. to dog as it rested on rubber sheeting. Current commenced at 1/10the ampere ended at 1 ampere.##22.6 oclock. Result fatal after some minues.##2nd dog light twany animal of greyhound extraction. Parcelled as above. Res: about 8500w##Direct current from 290 volts given for one second 1/10th amp indicated current. Result not fatal. Dog not much hurt.##Current then altenrated at same voltage 11 times per sec: Contact made for 2 secs: Result not fatal but dog much debilitated for several mins.##Current then alternated [20 overstruck]17 times per sec: at 800 volts pressure. Contact for 3 secs: Result fatal in less than half min.
