"Dyer= please inform me of the various devices applied for & also patented, for cutting Incandescent Lamps out of circuit when one is broken & there are a great number in series. I have some new ideas & I want to see if they are already secured broadly [second page no clear date] Dyer-- What are the chances of getting & holding a broad claim for this (drawing) adjustable Res & amp indicator The claim being a number of incandescent lamps in series each containing a cut out or auto substitutution of another lamp-- & combining a number of such currents in Multiple arc Also claim for this (drawing) Res & Amp Ind series, wih or without cut out or auto changed Lamp either arc or incandescent"
