Title

[X154A5CV], Letter from Edward Hibberd Johnson to Uriah Hunt Painter, May 10th, 1886

Editor's Notes

[Letterhead: Edison Company for Isolated Lighting] have instituted a quiet inquiry into the condition of the foreign phonograph patents so as not to attract attention; should have enough info by the time your proposition comes to make a decision on it.###will let you know when motor is running regularly so you can come see it.###I have 300 of 1000 shares, 1/2 interest in England and 1/2 in France.###I'm no Reiff; don't raise my price because I've got the whip hand; TAE doesn't respond kindly, but should come around since he can't do anything else.
