Title

[X154A8AZ], Letter from Edward Hibberd Johnson to Uriah Hunt Painter, March 11th, 1889

Editor's Notes

M Dr UH I suppose the $500 was not paid? If it was not then the stock is his but I was not aware of this--and should very much like ti know more of the transaction It will doubtless soon appear that I in reality have no Phonograph Stock at all--and therefore incurred allt he consequences of the transaction soley for the benefit of my friends-- Well if os, the fact ought to be acknowledged now that the affair is in the past. It would probably have some bearing on matters at present under consideration as it is the popular impression that I have realized handsomely and there was therfore not much virtue in my conduct in the matter##You can write to Reiff & say that I have refd the matter to you with full power to decide according to the papers which are in your possession Yours Truly Edwd. H. Johnson
