Title

[X154A8CQ], Letter from Uriah Hunt Painter to Josiah Custer Reiff, July 15th, 1889

Editor's Notes

[very faint copy] You can see now from Lippincott's letter whether he is honest or not. ## Please write to him, that you do not find anything ih the agreement between he and I, which he Lippincotted filed with you asking any contingency as to the disposition of the stock, when [illeg] assignment of the phonograph interest was properly made to him, and that you are in possession of such an assignment, which you are ready to deliver to him, and receive from him the stock certificates which he holds and which will complete the transaction. ## If you cannot see your way clear to write him this, do not write him anything. ## I expect to be in New York on the 17th and will come and see you.
