This folder contains correspondence relating to the purchase of supplies for Edison's West Orange laboratory and the shipment of scientific instruments, tools, equipment, machinery, and materials to the laboratory. Some of the letters pertain to the purchase of furniture for the library.

Approximately 30 percent of the documents have been selected. The following categories of documents have not been selected: routine requests for catalogs and prices: routine letters concerning the ordering and shipment of supplies and equipment from the Edison Machine Works, the Edison Lamp Co. and other suppliers.
