Title
[D8613C], Letter from James Raeburn, Jr. to Thomas Alva Edison, March 9th, 1886
Editor's Notes
Knowing your world-wide fame, I take the liberty of addressing you. ##For some time, I have been studying electrical engineering at the College of Science and Arts here under Professor Jamieson, and have been in the habit of working with not only the usual instruments, but with those of more modern form such as the new volt and ammeter[?]. ##As at the end of the session until the beginning of next, that is from the last day of May till the first of Oct., I am desirous of being employed, I write to ask if you could offer me an appointment. [Indicates that a leter from Jamieson is enclosed (see Doc. D8613D) and an addressed envelope.]
