[letterhead of Southern/Atlanta agency of Appleton publishers ] "I send you by same mail one of the pamplet as referred to, viz [unclear] and must be that your [unclear]. While I may not have [unclear] the [unclear] planning too much dependent in the [unclear] I feel quite certain that they aid not one, great stress on the perfection of their work which I (as a [unclear]) would have [unclear] my duty. ### When you have read the book, do me the favor to write me your experiments about the [unclear] Coal and Gunners [?]. ### Since I have talked with Dr. Pract about the chances of coal in J.C. and he agreed with me (to some extent). I have not yet [unclear] the [unclear] in which the gold [unclear] is formed, and to which I alluded in my last but will suggest to my friend to get some, and I will then do as I promised. ### Hoping to hear from you again.
