Title
[D8814ADR], Letter from Pottier and Stymus, William P Stymus to Thomas Alva Edison, August 13th, 1888
Editor's Notes
Owing to our change in business by our late fire, we have reluctantly been obliged to discharge many of our late and worthy employees. Among the number is the bearer Fish who has been in our employ in the capacity of timekeeper, collector, and laterally assistant bookkeeper in each and all of which he has acquitted himself most satisfactorily. He informs me that you are in want of reliable young men as adjustors of your new invention. I take much pleasure in recommending him to your kind consideration as he is the only child of a widowed mother, honest, reliable and industrious. Trusting you will be able to afford him a position
