Title
[FT001AAB], Letter from George Noble to Mina Miller (Mrs Thomas A.) Edison, October 28th, 1889
Editor's Notes
Allow me to recall your attention to a visit paid you by Rev. Mr. Gutteridge, a duplicate of whose card I herewith enclose. ## On his return to Harrison he spoke of the polite reception you gave him and of the promise you made to present to Mr. Edison the case of the Davis Memorial Church which he represented. He was so much encouraged by the interest you promised to take in the matter that he suggested to the Board of Trustees that their failure to receive any reply from Mr. Edison was much more likely to arise from oversight than from unwillingness to assist in a good cause. I have therefore been requested by said Trustee to say that they shall entertain the hope that Mr. Edison will regard their application favorably and remit to them through Mr. Gutteridge a subsciption in aid of said Davis Memorial Church. I am, Madam, Yours Most Obediently, George Noble Secretary
