Mar. 28, 1894,
G. D. James, Esq., Pres. & Gen. Manager,
The Aluminum and Vehicles Wheels Co.,
Bank Building, Colorado Springs, Colo.
Dear Sir: --
I return herewith Certificate No. 41 for ten thousand shares of Aluminum and Vehicles Wheels Company stock, in my name, which accompanied your letter to me of 19th inst.
I cannot accept this stock. My Counsel advises me not to do so. In regard to the patent, I have retired from actual business and do not desire to enter into any scheme which would cause worry, but, as I have already stated, I am willing to license legitimate manufacturing concerns to use it at a moderate royalty.
Yours very truly,
Thomas A. Edison
M[aguire].
